National Honor Society

My son made the National Honor Society this year. One hundred and thirty two people made the freshman years list out of about eight hundred. His mom and I are really proud of him

System Crash this Weekend

I got home Friday afternoon to find my websites were not working. It looked like my proxy server was not serving my web sites behind it. They all were up and running but I could not access them. When I did a nslookup I found that a old cert for a nonworking web site was being served to all five of my sites. So all the sites were severed to the closest thing to the old cert. Nothing I did seemed to correct the problem so I thought maybe a update to python or another component was the cause. It was easy enough to delete the VM and reinstall it. Finally Sunday morning after I installed the server blocks on the Nginx reverse proxy did everything come back up and start working.

Day Off Tomorrow

I have the day off and weather permitting I will cut up some trees. I have a few dead cedars in the front that need to come down. I also have a Ham radio coax that needs to be brought into the shack and tested. It should be good just been putting it off.

Autumn Is Starting To Show Up

I started another post to start a new season. My wife and I did 2.9 miles today, a nice cool 70 degrees out. Took about 43 min. Not much on the agenda today I was thinking about cutting down some trees but it may wait until its a bit cooler.

Morning Walk

My wife and I on our morning walk 2.1 miles this morning. I will be doing this a lot more in a few months.

Quote of the Day

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.” -Samuel Adams

New Dentures

Come Sept. 23rd I will be getting the rest of my lower teeth removed and some implants installed. I will have to wait for around three months to have the dentures put in. This is to give the implants time to grow into the jawbone. So far its worked out well with my uppers that I have. What I am not looking forward to is the three months of not being able to chew. In the long run though it will work out better than replacing one tooth at a time. They say it will help reduce bone lose in the jaw.
